Sitting on Australia’s doorstep, Timor-Leste is a country with tremendous potential. Home to abundant offshore and prospective onshore gas deposits and unexplored mineral potential, it represents a rare opportunity for those willing to break new ground.

The Australia Timor-Leste Business Forum is a group of interested individuals and organisations in Timor-Leste and Australia with an interest in promoting efficient, effective, ethical and sustainable investment and development in Timor-Leste. We are interested in:
  1. Providing a private industry perspective to guide policy development in both Australia and Timor-Leste.
  2. Helping to forge a pathway through the regulatory and logistic challenges facing Australian and other international investors in Timor-Leste.
  3. Providing guidance where appropriate on key technical issues that affect the sustainability of Timor-Leste's future infrastructure.
The Forum comprises representatives of Timorese investment professionals and Australian entities including:

Dan Hunter -  Director Consulting, Timor-Leste, Cardno

Roberto Lai, TradeInvest, Timor-Leste

Sarah Lonergan, Manager, Advisory Lead, EY, Timor-Leste

Mary Thompson - Director, Iron Fortune, Timor-Leste, Managing Director McLeod Rail
